City Chicks offers any school/ kindy/ Day Care Centre, the opportunity to get an initial month's rental of our Urban Coop and Chicken package DISCOUNTED to only $120.
That means a saving of OVER 30% from your initial month's rent, then only $35 a month!
For $120, we will deliver to your school within 10km of the Brisbane CBD the following:
- 2 point-of-lay (ready to lay) chickens
- THE URBAN COOP – one of our mobile chicken coops, nominally 2.4m long x 1m wide and 1m high and weighs only 15 kg.
- a 1 month supply of regular laying mash (grain), egg grit and straw
- a 4 Litre poultry drinker, 1.5kg poultry feeder, egg grit dish, 1 dummy egg , feed, care and health fact sheets about chicken keeping
- a coop maintenance schedule attached with a fridge magnet
- a chicken adoption certificate for your school to keep
At the end of the first month, the school can either
- Continue renting for only $35 a month. See our Service Agreement for more details on renting.
- A parent or staff member, may choose to continue with the rental package, transport everything home and simply pay our regular price of $35 a month to enjoy eggs in their own backyard.
- Cease the rental and the package will be collected for a fee of $65.
- School or family buy the package outright for $429.

Terms and Conditions
A coop and chicken package will normally be delivered within 7 days of an order being received. Where supply is constrained for any reason, City Chicks will advise the earliest delivery date.
Delivery and/or collection will be completed even if the premises are unattended.
To cancel the Rental Agreement at any time, notice must be given in writing a minimum of 7 days prior to collection.
City Chicks is not responsible for the replacement of chickens for any reason. The Renter/Purchaser is solely responsible for the care and wellbeing of the chickens supplied. Please follow the guidelines included in the Feed and Care fact sheets provided upon delivery, to ensure the health and wellbeing of the chickens.
Chickens are provided at ‘point of lay’ meaning they are ready to lay and should begin laying within 4-6 weeks. The chickens are not guaranteed by City Chicks to produce eggs regularly if at all.
The Renter/Purchaser will provide a ‘safe’ environment allowing for delivery and/or collection of the URBAN coop and chicken package.
